"Kids Who Are Different"

Here’s to kid who are different,
Kids who don’t always get As,
Kids who have ears
Twice the size of their peers,
And noses that go on for days.

Here’s to the kids who are different,
Kids they call crazy or dumb,
Kids who don’t fit,
With the guts and the grit,
Who dance to a different drum.

Here’s to the kids who are different,
Kids with a mischievous streak.
For when they have grown,
As history has shown,
It’s their difference that makes them unique.

This poem means that even if someone is different their's no need to make fun of them. Thi spoem relates to freak the mighty because freak and mighty were always getting bullied. They are different in a good way.

To me this poem means it doesn't matter how peole see you in the outside what matters is what the people that love that think of you in the inside. This relates to freak because freak doesn't care what he is in the outside he cares how he is in the inside.

This poem means that it doesnt matter if you are different. It means that because max is big and has a learning disalbitly. Freak has a smart brain and a small body.

I disagree with keilany because it describes how being different can become a good thing for freak and max. It also can be use as moral to teach kids how being different can be a great thing.

This peom to me means it is not bad to be different. It is good to be different. This poem relates to Freak The Mighty because Freak and Max are different from other students. Freak is different from other students because when he was born he had a birth defect. So Freaks organs inside him grow but his body does not. Max is different from other students because he has a Learning Disability.

Technically speaking, unique people ARE different. I think the poem is saying you should CELEBRATE differences. When people are different, this is what makes the world interesting. Some of the most unique people were Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. I think the best inventions come from people who are truly unique and creative - like Freak!!!!
